The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) has selected Infinite Campus for its statewide K12 data collection and management system. North Carolina becomes the ninth State Education Agency (SEA) using Infinite Campus, joining South Dakota, Bureau of Indian Education, Montana, Kentucky, Hawaii, Nevada, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and Delaware.

All North Carolina school districts and charter schools will use Infinite Campus for SIS and will have access to an array of integrated offerings such as Messenger, Online Registration, Workflow, Analytics, and more. In contrast, NCDPI will use the Infinite Campus State Edition (ICSE) to collect and disperse data in real time to its Public School Units.

A Single Integrated Solution
The NCDPI will commence a partnership with Infinite Campus to make a lasting impact on the education landscape and support North Carolina educators. The ability to consolidate multiple applications into a unified system represents a key step in achieving this vision. A single database SIS solution helps districts and charters efficiently serve students and instantly communicate because data is entered once and immediately available across the district or school. This data can then be transmitted to the state in real time using Infinite Campus State Edition.

About the North Carolina Department of Instruction
The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is charged with implementing the state's public school laws for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade public schools at the direction of the State Board of Education and the Superintendent of Public Instruction. The agency provides leadership and service to the 115 local public school districts and 2,500+ district public schools, 211 charter schools, and the three residential schools for students with hearing and visual impairments. The areas of support include standards and instruction, accountability, finance, teacher and administrator preparation and licensing, professional development and school business support and operations.
