Grossmont Union High School District, California, Selects Infinite Campus
March 14, 2014 – Blaine, Minn. – Grossmont Union High School District (GUHSD) has selected Infinite Campus for its student information system (SIS). With an enrollment of 22,000 students, GUHSD was looking to modernize their 30-year-old mainframe system. Top features in their search included improving stakeholder communication, a web-based interface, access to real-time data throughout the district and an advanced scheduling system. Infinite Campus is able to meet, and exceed, these expectations.
GUHSD compiled a very extensive RFP by listening to all of the stakeholders within our district. The district created a selection committee of over 60 different end users to evaluate and award our new SIS. After a substantial review of all RFP submissions, three finalists were identified. Each of those finalists presented full-day demonstrations to our selection committee. The overwhelming choice was Infinite Campus,” says Rick Roberts, GUHSD Executive Director of Educational Technology Services.
As the largest American-owned SIS, Infinite Campus is an off-the-shelf system that provides monthly enhancements to keep districts up-to-date. As the first truly web-based SIS, Infinite Campus is a single solution across the district. Administrators, teachers, parents and students have real-time access to the information they want, when they need it. GUHSD will benefit from a company with a strong vision for the future, a product that adapts to changes in the marketplace and a growing community of Campus users in California.
According
to Ashton Faires, Campus Senior Sales Manager, “We are excited to be a
part of the commitment GUHSD has made to provide the best systems to
their staff, students, teachers and parents. GUHSD had one of the most
thoroughly designed RFP selection processes that we have seen. It took
into consideration the many, varied needs of their different
stakeholders. Infinite Campus is happy to partner with GUHSD to
modernize how the district handles student data, improves efficiencies
and increases technology effectiveness.
“Over the last two years in California when districts have included
demonstrations of Infinite Campus in their RFP selection process,
Infinite Campus has been awarded every California RFP. We are thrilled
that GUHSD will be joining our rapidly growing family of California
districts.”
In addition to a comprehensive management system and enhanced communication functions, GUHSD will receive the personalized service and support they want. Access to the award-winning Campus Support team is a phone call away. Online instructional videos are available 24x7. Training and professional development services enrich the user experience. And a Client Executive based in California arranges user groups for peer-to-peer interactions.
GUHSD plans to go live in August 2014.
