NHJ United School Corporation Chooses Infinite Campus to Improve Data Processes
Feb. 20, 2012 - Blaine, Minn. - The Nineveh Hensley Jackson (NHJ) United School Corporation in Trafalgar, Indiana, has selected Infinite Campus as their student information system (SIS) to improve administrative efficiencies, increase classroom effectiveness, and enhance communication between parents and schools. As a fully integrated, truly Web-based SIS, NHJ chose Infinite Campus District Edition as the best system to meet their needs.
“Infinite Campus integration and the way Infinite Campus manages households allows us to better control the groupings in our district, rather than by building. Previously, we had four separate databases and had to search each one to find the information we needed,” said Rene Jarboe, NHJ Data Resource Coordinator.
We now have one system for groupings of people that we can easily query. Already, Infinite Campus has improved our processes, saving valuable time and resources.”
When choosing a new SIS, one goal for NHJ was to improve communication between teachers, parents and administrators. Not only did they want parents to have access to student performance information, they wanted students to have access to their own information so they could be more accountable for their success.
"We found Infinite Campus to be all it was advertised to be. We made a very good choice. All the components that we required to achieve our goals are there. We are sold on the product,” said NHJ Director of Technology, Tom Bauer.
"NHJ conducted a methodical and thorough selection process," said Mike Palmer, Campus Regional Sales Manager. "They had a broad-based committee that was involved in the selection process, including teachers, administrators and parents. They took the time to visit an Infinite Campus district in Michigan, five hours away, as they wanted to hear from experienced users. They liked what they saw. We welcome them to the growing number of customers in Indiana.”
Infinite Campus has been working with customers in Indiana since 2009. A dedicated Campus Business Analyst works with the state department of education and district customers to manage changing state reporting requirements and ensure submissions are accurate and on time.
“The volume and frequency of state reporting in Indiana is a time consuming task. Infinite Campus is handling the overwhelming task of reporting student performance data and other school information,” said Jarboe. “Add to that the excellent support we have received during our implementation and we are extremely satisfied with the Infinite Campus product.”
