Infinite Campus Partners with Parchment for Electronic Transcript Processing
June 24, 2011 – Blaine, Minn. – Infinite Campus, Inc. is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with Parchment Inc. through its Docufide SaaS (Docufide) platform to provide electronic transcript processing. This partnership will streamline parental and student requests of transcripts for submission to postsecondary institutions using the industry standard PostSecondary Electronic Standards Council (PESC) format.
“This partnership will give parents, guardians, and students convenient online access to request, process, and automate the delivery of PESC transcripts to higher education institutions,” stated Dan Orlando, Infinite Campus Manager of Strategic Alliances. “With this alliance our customers can rely on an integrated, secure method to submit education credentials.”
Docufide integration with Infinite Campus facilitates the automated request of transcripts to be sent to postsecondary institutions streamlining this paper-based process. Parents and students can make requests on the Campus Portal for a transcript to be sent from a school to Docufide. Through the Docufide site, parents and students can select from any institution worldwide to send the transcript immediately and schedule a future transcript to be sent with the ability to choose a delivery method.
“Parchment has the experience Infinite Campus customers desire as Docufide processes and delivers millions of transcripts and other student records each year, working with 7,000 schools and universities, 11 state education agencies, and hundreds of thousands of individuals,” states John O’Connell, Parchment Senior Vice President of Business Development. “Behind the scenes integration between the two systems is what will produce a seamless and efficient electronic transcript experience for our mutual customers.”
With Campus eTranscript, transcript processing creates staff efficiencies and eliminates the cost of paper, mailing, and copying. Using industry-standard PESC XML, it supports the creation of electronic transcripts in three ways: for a district’s PESC-compliant processing partner, manually using an XML-generated file to the PESC-compliant postsecondary institution, and now through Docufide.
Districts can use the data managed within Infinite Campus to generate electronic transcripts based on student search criteria and use included filter options for manual release and creation of the PESC XML file. Comments can be added during processing for parents and students to view through the Campus Portal. With Docufide integration, the district can provide a convenience link through the Campus Portal to access the Docufide site.
“I’m pleased with the introduction of electronic transcript functionality as an important next step in eliminating unnecessary administrative costs for our customers,” states David Van Meter, Infinite Campus Chief Knowledge Officer. “This partnership and integration with Docufide delivers a true cost-saving value to parents, students, our districts, and postsecondary institutions.”
Campus eTranscript with Docufide integration is available in the E.1122 release as a part of the base Infinite Campus District Edition system. If your district is currently using Docufide, or if you are located in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Kansas, or Ohio contact your Docufide Account Manager for information on how to take advantage of this new integration.
